Kenya Railways unveils exclusive premium class service

NAIROBI, Kenya, Oct 2...The new premium coaches features optimized seating arrangements with each coach limited to 28 passengers guaranteeing ample legroom, personal space and maximum comfort throughout the journey priced at Ksh 12,000 one way ticket and Ksh 20,000 on return ticket.

Coaches are incoperated with automated window shutters and seats that can rotate to face any directios introducing a new level of sophistications and convinience in rail travel.

Transport CS Davis Chirchir, Kenya Railways Chairman Abdi Duale and Managing director Philip Mainga among other KR officials flagged off and boarded the premium coaches from Nairobi terminus to Arthi River for an exclusive experience on the new premium class.   

"The premium class coach will be segregated from other compartments to ensure a tranquil and private environment".

Kenya Railways stated that a dedicated trained team, trained for premium class will be on hand to attend to passengers needs ensuring a personalized and memorable journey.   

"Passengers will enjoy exclusive access to VIP lounges and benefit from priority boarding and disembarkation at the terminals".

KR further added that entertainment pieces ranging from Music, comic among others and configured with WiFi to stay connected along the journey with exclusive catering services for the premium class.
