Azimio Leaders vow to stand up and protect Kenya's Constitution

NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 29...Azimio la Umoja led by Wiper party leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka convened conference dubbed 'Okoa katiba' with GenZ's reiterating their unwavery support in standing up and protecting Kenya's constitution.    

Dr. Musyoka was accompanied by DAP-Kenya Party leader Eugene Wamalwa, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Hon Jeremiah Kioni and Peter Munya among others held at Ufungamano House, Nairobi.

In addition Dr. Kalonzo lauded GenZ's for their remarkable contribution to governance acknowledging their recent victory in opposing the anti-finance bills, which sought to curtail the independence of the judiciary.

"Your unwavering stance and advocacy have demonstrated that you are a force to be reckoned with in shaping the future of our nation," said Azimio leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

"Today we are here to defend our constitution as its in a threat there are plans to amend this constitution and we have said we shall stand up and protect our constitution" said DAP-Kenya party Leader Eugene Wamalwa. 

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Dr. Babu Owino expressed his disappointment with the proposed university funding model saying parents can't afford the new fees and may negatively impact students calling up university students to stand up and reject it.

Owino further added that the new funding model should not be adopted urging president Ruto to listen to students and drop the proposed funding.

Furthermore the leaders called on the government to act in bringing up security officers who injured and killed GenZ's during anti-finance bill protests adding that Kenyans were peaceful demonstrating when officers used forced and weapons on them.
