Standard Chartered Nairobi marathon 2023 edition key sponsors chip in 178 million

NAIROBI, Kenya Oct 13...Nairobi county , Uhuru Gardens National Monument and Museum shall host the event on 29th October 2023

It is expected to attract over 25, 000 participants with 42kms, 21kms and 10kms together with popular 5kms Family run being among races set to feature 

Standard chartered Kenya has contributed KES 100 million towards the event 

"We are delighted to be partnering with our sponsors who use over marathon as a vehicle to promote greater economic inclusion especially for disadvantaged young people" said Peter Gitau , Chair of the local organising committee , Standard chartered Nairobi marathon 

This comes as the marathon commemorates it 20th anniversary, since it inception more than 270, 000 runners have participated in the marathon and over KES 750 million have been raised to support various impact innitiatives 

Furthermore mobile phone provider Tecno has provided gadgets with over KES 1.4 million with prizes for the 42 km and 21 km winners

Individual and corporate participants are encouraged to take advantage of the extended period that ends on 22 nd October 2023 with entry fees remaining at KES 2000 until registration closes
