NPSC announces Interviews for 183 police officers who successfully completed Higher Training Course and Senior Training Course

NAIROBI, Kenya,Oct 24...The interviews officially kicked off on 22nd October 2024 and set to go until Tuesday 29th October 2024 at the National Police Service Commission offices in CBK pension towers.
The process will add to 515 Chief Inspectors promoted since 2019 when the current commission assumed into office with 417 officers from the Kenya Police Service and 98 from Administration Police Service benefited from the trainings and ultimately secured promotions.
"The 6-month promotional course are designed to prepare officers currently serving in the rank of Chief Inspector leadership roles in the Kenya police Service, Administration Police service and Directorate of criminal Service", said NSPC Chairperson Eliud Kinuthia.
Furthermore, Candidates are set to be acessed on Governance issues, financial management, communication skills, ethics, leadership and management and general police work together with academic qualifications and discipline.
"It is important to not that promotions are not automatic officers must demonstrate competence and readiness to assume higher responsibilities", added Mr. Kinuthia.
In addition the commission pland to publish in the Kenyan Gazette all officers promoted in the category, upon gazzetment the officers will be assigned higher responsibilities in the service within or above the sub-county command level.
"The Gazettement will further grant them prividledge to communicate on matters within their jurisdiction, commission assures the candidates of its commitment to a fair and transparent process and promotion based on merit and integrity", stated Eliud.
