iZola unveils a new digital health helper Xaidi App to empower special needs children

NAIROBI, Kenya Nov 15... The new Xaidi App Kenya's first AI powered health coach is set for beneficial to families with children with special needs to help in their day to day challenges and opportunities in their healthcare 

The innovative AI app laverages on data from reknown research institutions with information and assistance to special needs children and caregivers done in English and Swahili to simplify the journey 

Xaidi is free, first at its kind community health assistant App designed to help parents of neurodivergent children feel more supported and confident in handling learning and thinking differences 

"Children and young people with developmental disabilities are a large and growing population across the globe , these children needs have however been neglected in health systems planning policy provisions for health" said Philip Nzenge,  Deputy director, Directorate of children services.

According to the UNICEF 2023 Global report on children with developmental disabilities , In 2019 there were aproximately 317 million children and adolescents with health conditions that contribute to developmental dissabilities globally 

"I therefore commend iZola on launching Xaidi app as this is in line with our mission of creating a barrier free society of persons living with disability" added Nzenge

In addition the digital companion app caters to special needs such as Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) care journey 

Xaidi app can be downloaded from google play store and can be used by any kenyan to access any information on health instantly
