Airtel Africa announces Sunil Talder as new managing director and Chief executive officer

NAIROBI, Kenya Jan 5...The telecommunication company has announced appointment of Sunil Talder as managing director and chief executive officer to succeed mr.ogunsanya on his retirement

Mr.Talder who joined Airtel  Africa in October 2023 as director- transformation will begin the transition as the CEO

"The board is delighted to appoint Sunil Talder as the group's next Chief executive officer , his industry experience , strategic vision , constant customer focus and proven record of delivery will enable him deliver our strategic objectives to lead the group in the next stages of its development"

"On behalf of the board I would like to thank mr.Ogunsanya for his commitment and significant contribution to Airtel Africa plc as chief executive and before that as the managing director and CEO Nigeria our largest market in Africa" said Sunil bharti mittal , Chairman Airtel Africa plc

Following mr.ogunsanya retirement from Airtel Africa plc , he will still be available to advise the chairman , the Airtel Africa board and Chief executive officer for a 12-month period 

"It has been a priviledge to spend over 12  years of my career at Airtel Africa and I amptoud if what we have delivered for customers across Africa , we countinue to transform lives" said Segun ogunsanya , Chief executive
